Easter treats...

Easter treats, traditions! yum...here is what you need to make them:
1 bag Oriental noodles (they aren't actually noodles but it's what they call them, in the Asian section of the grocery store)
1 bag Butterscotch chips
1 tsp. Crisco
Small easter candies, jelly beans, milk balls, your choice!
In a large bowl place the rice noodles. In a large glass bowl or measuring cup place bag of butterscotch chips and 1 tsp. Crisco. Melt in microwave in 25 second intervals, stirring often...when chips are melted pour over noodles and toss...On waxed paper place a handful of mixture. Have a helper put the candies in the center while it's still melty. I use my fingers (fingerfuls) to place mounds on waxed paper...to set quickly place in fridge or leave for several hrs.!! enjoy

Well we sure haven't had any snow to speak of this Winter! So strange how little we've had....but every year we seem to be able to build our giant snowman...or I should say Mike and the kids do! and this year they were able to get one made! They always get creative and this year it's a Daddy snowman holding up a child snowman! cute! He didn't last more than 24 hrs. and it rained and he fell over just like that!! Perhaps Spring is going to "spring" before we think it is this year! it's cold but not bitter cold like usual this time of year...I know we would have loved more snow to enjoy this year but lots of people that loved the mild weather!! I am enjoying the fireplace and reading out loud to the girls by it and snuggling in!! Happy Winter y'all!

FOREVER...

Well it's been FOREVER since I posted on here...I have been baking/cooking but just haven't made anything that good perhaps! haha I was soooo sick for 2 weeks in December that we did all our yummy Christmas cookies after Christmas...we had New Years Sugar cookies! haha they were yummy...still a few favorites we plan to make!!

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! My brother moved to another state just before New Years...we were sad but he has a job transfer so we're happy if he is! but we miss he and my nephew so much!!'

We had a fun Gingerbread making party...here's Macy my sweet teenager displaying her "house"...the kids also acted out the Nativity story and it was so sweet and such a celebration of our Saviors birth...Mike and I always smile at the delight Christmas brings and the fun and love that overflows...we are so blessed!!!
